About The Role:
Provides informal supervision to employees responsible for guarding site premises and property. On a routine basis, inspects grounds to ensure security requirements are met. Controls and monitors access to building. May be required to implement parking regulations and report fire and safety hazards. Reports atypical situations to management. May use electronic surveillance equipment.
What You'll Do:
Promote positive public relations by offering white glove service to all tenants, visitors, and guests, and respond to their requests.
Coordinate overall security at site and ensure all security staff follow company directives. Performs security scheduling functions.
Maintain proficiency with building's life safety system and central security panel and trains security staff and Shift Leader with respect to life safety systems and emergency response procedures.
Monitor adequate coverage of the property posts, building operations and tour properties; report and record security related incidents occurring on the property, and maintain daily activity and incident logs.
Control access to buildings and monitor activities of visitors.
Communicate daily with the Property Manager regarding events, incidents, recommendations, staffing needs, etc.
Ensure staff completes state registration requirements within 10 days of hire. Conduct follow-up and document status of card every 30 days until received.
Maintain daily logs and shift reports. Review reports and monitors performance.
Develop site-specific policies and procedures for the security and life safety manual.

High School Graduate or equivalent.
1+ year(s) security experience.
Prior experience as a Shift Leader preferred.
Meets local or national security staff certification requirements
Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions, short correspondence, and memos and ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, and/or supervisor. Ability to effectively present information to an internal department and/or large groups of employees.
Requires in-depth knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate complex figures. Ability to forecast and prepare budgets. Conducts financial/business analysis including the preparation of reports.
Ability to understand and carry out general instructions in standard situations. Ability to solve problems in standard situations. Requires basic analytical skills.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have an intermediate knowledge of Word Processing software; Excel spreadsheet software and Internet software. Ability to walk/stand 8 hours per day, operate a fire extinguisher, lift 50 pounds, and effectively transport an adult in an evacuation chair or similar transportation equipment.
