TITLE: Security Engineer III
LOCATION: Greenwood Village, CO
JOB SUMMARY: Design and implement processes and controls that acquire and correlate security relevant systems and application log data to alert and report on potential security events. Monitor security dashboard alerts to identify and lead the response and mitigation activities for security events. Implement, maintain, and monitor threat intelligence data from various resources relevant to Charter's networks and systems. Develop and coordinate implementation of security countermeasures. Develop and recommend security policies, standards, and configurations to the security governance committee. Design and implement system logic to detect security threats. Lead incident response and escalation processes. Perform forensics analysis and data evidence gathering for all security events. Recommend, design, and implement security systems and tools used by Network Security Operations and provide ongoing system support. Develop security requirements for new projects and perform security testing. Perform and coordinate engagements with third party service providers to perform ongoing security testing on critical assets. Support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience. Ensure compliance with security standards, policies and procedures and adhere to industry specific local, state, and federal regulations. Utilize vulnerability remediation tools for reporting including Kenna, Data Lakes, or API outputs; and forensic methodologies to investigate intrusions, preserve evidence, and coordinate unified security response. Manipulate and arrange data and producing reports in Microsoft office tools. Identify and manage the vulnerability lifecycle. Utilize vulnerability scanning tools including Qualys, Prism Cloud, or Veracode. Protect Charter Communications' customer facing networks, services, and customers by identifying IT-related security threats. Focus on security concepts TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, IP, Telephony, routing and security protocols. Monitor and maintain the operational capability of enterprise level cybersecurity tools and countermeasures. Build dashboards for measures with forecast, trend line and reference lines. Manage multiple tasks simultaneously and determine priority or ask for clarification from leadership. Educate Customer Operations and other Charter stakeholders about security policies and consults on security issues via various ticketing systems.
EDUCATION/REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field. 4 years of experience manipulating and arranging data and producing reports in Microsoft office tools. 3 years of experience: with vulnerability remediation tools for reporting including Kenna, Data Lakes, or API outputs; in identifying and managing the vulnerability lifecycle; and in vulnerability scanning tools including Qualys, Prism Cloud, or Veracode. 2 years of experience in forensic methodologies to investigate intrusions, preserve evidence, and coordinate unified security response.

Salaries depend on geography, experience, and education; negotiations begin at $119,891 per year.

The pay for this position has a salary range of $119,891.00 to $139,500.00. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience and location. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as bonuses.
