Security Assurance Associate

The Security Assurance Associate is responsible for managing life safety & physical security activities for assigned facilities. Responsibilities include oversight and management of contract security staff and the buildings critical security systems (access control, CCTV and Alarm). Accountable for developing and implementing security & life safety procedures and standards to ensure compliance with Santander's policies; developing and maintaining the buildings emergency response plans and ensuring compliance with local fire codes and life safety standards. The Building Security Manager will be required to foster relationships with building tenants; Santander's businesses; security integrators; neighboring businesses and with local police and fire department officials.
Develops, analyzes, implements and oversees short-term and long-term strategic business processes and plans to increase operational efficiency, meet strategic vision and achieve financial goals. Develops, presents and implements business case recommendations and tactical/operational strategies based on analysis of global and industry trends, company objectives and key stakeholders. Manages, identifies and develops strategic partnerships with business functions, management, and other internal/external stakeholders. Identifies and analyzes the company's strengths, weaknesses and business opportunities to advise management and optimize business strategies. Monitors industry trends, competitor actions, economic developments and regulatory environment to identify and plan for expected impact on business operations. Ensures the correct functioning of facilities, office and business support services. Compiles, documents, communicates and verifies information according to established procedures. Conducts business continuity planning in order to assure that essential company functions can operate during and following major disruptive events.
Assesses, evaluates, and maintains the physical space requirements of the company and recommends plans to meet needs and to optimize facility utilization. Develops and implements overall real estate and facilities strategies to fulfill business needs and requirements (e.g., security standards, facility requirements). Conducts ongoing inspection and maintenance of facilities to ensure proper functioning. May coordinate with outside vendors to ensure proper facility security and maintenance. Plans, prioritizes, manages and performs maintenance activities and upgrades to equipment, facilities and systems to minimize disruptions to business activities.
Essential Functions/Responsibility Statements:
· Maintain, and continuously improve emergency action plans and procedures specific to fire, medical emergencies, workplace violence, active aggressor, civil unrest, and other man-made or natural disasters. Distribute emergency action plans to Santander US team members.
· Oversee the training and maintenance for the CPR/AED Program ensuring all sites have an adequate number of trained employees and functional equipment to perform the duties of the program.
· Maintain the department's Records Management program to include clean desk policy compliance based on the Records Management Coordinator requirements outlined in the Record Management Standards.
· Responsible for reviewing and updating Corporate Security policies and procedures to ensure documents comply with regulatory and corporate requirements, including instituting version control, annual reviews, and maintaining a procedure inventory. Work with security functions to obtain content. Assist with the personal electrical equipment guideline updates.
· Conduct Corporate Security's Policy Administration activities and support the entities with policy implementation to ensure compliance. Complete the annual policy administration assurance review for the Santander US Security Policy and Standards.
· Function as the primary Business Continuity Coordinator for the Corporate Security business continuity plan.
· Work with Learning and Development to update training modules related to Corporate Security. Ensure training is ready to be launched each quarter.
· Update the Corporate Security Source Page content as needed. Monitor the Corporate Security email account and respond to inquiries within 24 hours.
· Work with the functional heads to develop and maintain Risk and Control Self Assessments (RCSA).
· Assist the physical security team with managing invoices and expense requests for security projects and security services.
· Distribute and track the Sensitive Business Area Attestation process to ensure all sensitive business areas are documented and reviewed by the area owner.

Qualifications;
· Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience: Security management, Electronics, Technology or equivalent.
· 5+ Years Security experience required, preferable with exposure to building technologies supporting commercial real estate.

Working Conditions: Frequent Minimal physical effort such as sitting, standing and walking. Occasional moving and lifting equipment and furniture is required to support onsite and offsite meeting setup and teardown.
