KPMG is currently seeking a Seasonal Senior Associate,-Tax Financial Services to join our Business Tax Services practice.
Responsibilities:Support Tax Managers and Partners in the day-to-day management of client portfolios of various size and scope within the alternative investment fund industry (private equity, real estate and/or hedge funds)Accountable for overall engagement planning and job administrationHelp keep management informed on the progress of important engagement and client relationship issuesAudit basic-to-complex tax provisions; perform thorough review of working papers to help ensure conclusions have been supported and firm policies have been metExecute various aspects of compliance with moderate to minimum direction from managementSupervise several associate staff members on large and complex engagements when appropriate Qualifications:A minimum of three years of recent experience in the alternative investment industryBachelor's degree, J.D., LL.M. in taxation, and/or Masters in Taxation (MST) from an accredited college/universityApplied working knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), accounting procedures, and partnership tax regulationsExcellent skills in reviewing 1065 and 1120-RIC tax returnsStrong communication, interpersonal, analytical, and research abilitiesAbility to meet challenging client requirements and provide services
