What we expect of you, day to day:
As a Scrum Master, you will use a coaching leadership style to promote the Agile values, Principles, and best practices for 1-2 Scrum TeamsYou will foster a culture of inclusion and well-being within your Scrum Team as well as within the PMO teamYou will help your Scrum Team with decision making, dependency management, and eliminating impediments to meet sprint and quarterly execution (release) goalsYou will consistently and transparently collaborate with engineering managers to relentlessly improve, address challenges, and create a high-performing Scrum TeamYou will demonstrate a sense of urgency in asking for management support to help remove impediments that the team cannot solve on their ownYou will facilitate Scrum ceremonies with a relentless improvement mindset to promote Agile maturity within the team or team of teamsYou will focus your team on delivering secure, quality working software, sprint after sprint, using acceptance criteria and a definition of doneYou will lead effective retrospectives and coach the team to be accountable in taking appropriate action to relentlessly improveYou will use metrics to help the team improve, become more efficient, and to set goalsYou will coach your teams to have effective and time-boxed ceremonies that focus on value-based outcomesYou will partner with the Product Owner and Architect to help the team be more predictable in deliveryYou will use an Agile mindset in your actions, leading by example to influence the team cultureYou will learn the Visa Agile Methodology governance requirements and ensure that the Scrum Team meet our corporate goals related to Security, Operational Excellence, and Compliance This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications Basic Qualifications
5+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD, OR 8+ years of relevant work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD7-9 years of relevant experience as a Scrum Master with knowledge of Agile/Lean and SAFe methodologies.Experience with tools such as Jira Align, Jira, SharePoint, and ConfluenceExperience working with teams that require cross-functional interactionsStrong analytical and problem resolution skillsExcellent time management, communication, facilitation, collaboration, and organization skills Additional Information Visa is an EEO Employer.
