Job Description

Work location: 333 S. Wabash, Chicago - (Hybrid work schedule - 2-3 daysper week (Mon -Tue-Wed)
Work hours: 8am - 5pm CST (M-F)
Potential assignments extension, based on work performance, need andbudget availability
Qualifications (must haves):
Agile Scrum Certified
SAFE Certified
Detailed oriented to ensure ADO data is accurate to support release andsprint planning.
Excellent understanding of software development methodologies andfundamentals (Agile, SCRUM, Kanban, Waterfall, etc.) Strong knowledgeand experience with Agile techniques such as Continuous Integration,automated testing, test-first approaches such as TDD, ATDD, etc.,pairing, Agile games, etc.
Able to organize, moderate and demonstrate Agile industry bestpractices. Experience with developing and executing plans, meetingdeadlines, coordinating timelines and efforts and applying advancedprinciples, theories and experiences.

Tasks & Responsibilities:
Responsible for facilitating the planning, delivery and continuousimprovement of Agile teams.
Facilitate the Agile ceremonies including stand-up, retrospectives,sprint planning, sprint demos, grooming.
Collaborates with team members across both Business and Technology,providing mentoring and coaching on Agile principles and practices.
Acts as a servant leader who enables team success by removingimpediments and implementing effective ways of working that fostercontinuous improvement and collaboration.
Continuously improve team productivity and facilitate completion ofwork.
Educate the team, Product Owner and stakeholders on the business valueof engineering practices, and promote the use of engineering practicesto provide faster delivery, better quality, and fewer defects.
Coach the team on the value and methods of developing cross-functionalskills.
In collaboration with the team, facilitate the creation of teamagreements which minimally include a Definition of Done (DOD) and aDefinition of Ready (DOR).
Work with Product Owner to create or break up stories to fit within asprint.
Manages the ADO board to ensure sprints are closed and incompletestories are move forward or to the backlog.
Manages sprint and team metrics(velocity, sprint burndown, etc.) toimprove productivity.
In collaboration with the team, size the stories and align team capacitywithin sprint planning.
Work with leadership to align release planning.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, time management andindividual and team building skills. Advanced interpersonal skills, ableto establish strong working relationships and promote bi-directionalcommunication within and across teams and programs.
Strong leadership and organizational skills, skilled in facilitation,continuous improvement, empowerment, transparency, building trust andservant leadership. Able to effectively manage challenging situationsthrough negotiation and conflict resolution.
Strong understanding of all facets of the software development lifecycle including planning, development, quality assurance, changemanagement and release management.
