Siemens Switches and Breakers requires a new team member for logistic area strongly involved in the product development/manufacturing process, NPI and knowledge in procurement and suppliers. Quality, logistics and material group management (commodity management) as information interchange and assisting in selecting the most efficient suppliers.
Responsibilities:
• Evaluate customer requirements to propose alternative material when the original one is not available in the time or qty required.
• Develop new suppliers and materials.
• You will actively contribute to the product development / manufacturing process as well as implement cost reduction measures
• Direct communication with R&D and engineering to evaluate options.
• Support in logistic strategies with new developments.
• Conducts and provides market information/analysis on international technology.
• Raw material analysis and comparation.
• Project support in lines of business in order to provide optimum input for quotes, workshops, scope of material and realization of potential for savings
• Assessment and development of the supplier base from a technological point of view along with Strategic Buyers
What will you need to succeed?
• SAP Basic management.
• Bachelor as Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience with electrical, electronics and metal-mechanical components.
• Intermediate Business English level.
• Experience in negotiation and expediting.
• Team work and communication with different areas (Engineering, Operations, R&D, Finance, Material Management).
