The Role
This role will work closely with the Manager, Media Planning and Manager, Content Scheduling as well as the wider ANZ Programming team to execute the scheduling and media planning vision in accordance with the content strategy across Warner Bros. Discovery Australia and NZ.
You will oversee the input and management of detailed broadcast and digital schedules (as allocated) as well as implement on air media strategies by creating transmission logs that have been completed correctly and delivered on time.
Key Responsibilities
Create and maintain all allocated schedules across the content scheduling and media planning processes in line with approved plansCommunicate and distribute accurate and relevant schedule data to all relevant teams and systems, adhering to agreed procedures and timelinesUpkeep all scheduling documentation by producing error free long lead planning and weekly gridsCreate and maintain EPG information, ensuring content is accurately represented and editorially appropriateMonitor spot placement to ensure laydown is on targetEnsure campaigns fit within the wider Networks promotional strategyEnsure decisions made at leadership level concerning the best use of on air inventory are executed to a high standard therefore driving reach, ratings and revenueAssist with any migration, testing and software updates as needed, including EPG functionality in line with requirementsLearn and use reporting and optimization (e.g. TechEdge, Grip It) platforms to manage on air inventory and execute on air campaignsBe proficient in the use of IBMS scheduling softwareConvene regular and timely meetings of the Pay/FTA Channels and Digital Programmers (as appropriate) for schedule planning purposesWork with partner departments (Marketing, Creative Services, Consumer Insights, Content Programming and Traffic & Transmission) for all issues relating to promo material delivery, scheduling and transmission log deliveryProvide general support to the programmers and broader Content team as required
Qualities and Experience Required:
Previous scheduling or planning experience in a media environment and/or high level understanding of content scheduling and media planning functionsHigh level of attention to detail with a proactive attitude to continuous improvement of systems and processesDynamic personality, adaptable, a high degree of professionalismA collaborator, who enjoys working in a team and has the confidence to work with international colleagues across different markets and time-zonesComfortable with ambiguity and working in a fast-paced environmentAn excellent communicatorHighly organized, with ability to work independent and/or as part of a team and able to meet deadlinesDemonstrate high levels of integrity and honestyA working knowledge of IBMS'
