More About the Role:
The Scanner Operator is a member of a high-performing team operating out of our CACI Alexandria facility. Scanner Operators perform digital image scanning equipment to capture images, handle sensitive records that include PII and PHII, perform document processing tasks while maintaining quality and production standards, ensures documents are not destroyed, lost or mishandled. Additional duties include:
Operates digital image scanning equipment to capture images and generate associated OCR text.
Follows established scanning and quality control procedures in producing digital files in specified format for further processing.
May be required to prepare documents for scanning (including determining logical breaks and unitization of hard copy documents) by disassembling prior to scanning and reassembling afterward.
May be required to record file-level information and physical attachment information during the scanning process.
Performs routine maintenance on relevant equipment.
Maintains scanning and task logs as well as equipment maintenance logs.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
One year experience working with image scanning and conversion equipment, including hands-on experience with the specific equipment being used.
Must be able to set up, operate, and perform routine maintenance on these machines.
Attention to detail extremely important.
Ability to produce high quality work under adverse conditions and time pressures extremely important.
Good oral and written communication skills needed.
Initiative to learn new applications, procedures, and workflows
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Prior document handling experience is a plus.
Undergraduate degree preferred but not required.
Previous litigation support experience highly valued.
Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and Teams is highly valued.
