Job Summary:
The Upstream Unconventional Field SCADA teams deliver industry-leading business capabilities and computational sciences to our field production assets through proprietary, commercial-grade software. We are looking for passionate, self-starting team members who will challenge the status quo and always be willing to learn and contribute in new ways. This position requires active collaboration with field engineers, headquarters engineers, developers, and other stake holders to deliver software and hardware solutions.
Primary Job Functions:
Collaborate with engineers, geoscientists, data managers, and other software developers to define, build, and deliver solutions to our most challenging upstream unconventional business problems
Architect, implement, deploy, and support SCADA systems like WonderWare and Ignition
Continue to learn and share software industry best practices with team members
Work with production and facilities teams to bring in well site data, salt water disposals, compressor site data, and any field automation into our WonderWare SCADA systems for alarm historizing/trending, and display
Responsible for the day to day support, maintenance, and development of SCADA systems utilizing corporate-driven standard solutions.
Responsibilities will also include support of the plants and facilities and the process controls within these sites. Interface with various customer and support elements including automation, measurement, engineering, production, operations and plant support, and other IT support staff.
Add wells to AutoSol and WonderWare.
Add alarming to WonderWare and Win911
Troubleshoot communications issues.
Qualification:
Job Requirements:
Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment with software developers and domain experts
Minimum of 3 years of experience developing, deploying, and supporting SCADA systems and automation control systems
Proficiency in one or more of the following SCADA platforms; Ignition v7.9 & 8.1 Including Perspective, AutoSol (ACM),
Proficiency in one or more of the following Firewall platforms; Cisco ASA, Cisco FTD, Palo Alto, Eagle One
Must have excellent interpersonal/customer service skills and the ability to communicate well with others (customers and team members)
Must have strong written and oral communication skills
Must be able to manage multiple projects at once
Must work well with field I&E staff and also with Houston development support
IT knowledge of Microsoft’s server operating systems and applications such as MS SQL 2012
Strong leadership, project management, customer-service orientation, and good interpersonal skills
Preferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Experience building, deploying, and supporting Ignition screens using Python
Prior work experience in the upstream oil and gas industry
Prior work experience with large scale data management systems
Experience working on teams following Agile software development methodologies
Experience participating in the user centered design process
Working knowledge of AutoSol (ACM) and Ignition v8.1
Experience working with RTUs (ROC, TotalFlow), PLC's and related HMI hardware and their related software (Allen-Bradley, Modicon, GE)
Understanding of field radio and network communications is beneficial
IT knowledge of Microsoft's server operating systems and applications such as MS SQL is beneficial
Heavy emphasis on candidates who have great soft skills, customer service focus, and are able to maintain a high level of client satisfaction through effective communication and prompt resolution.
Knowledge of field data capture and production accounting systems
