Overview
The SBA Portfolio Analyst is responsible for monitoring and managing an existing portfolio of government guaranteed commercial relationships. Sources financial information relating to Small Business Administration (SBA) loans to analyze and make recommendations on credit relationships. Assesses and prepares loan servicing requests, approving service level designations, reviews, and other methods of gauging credit. May act as an analytics and credit monitoring resource for other associates.
This is a remote position; providing support across the First Citizens Bank footprint.
Responsibilities
Analysis - Sources, compiles, and evaluates financial information associated with loan portfolios or specific borrowers. Performs risk-adjusted relationship analysis based on quantitative and qualitative factors to recommend appropriate credit grades.Loan Servicing - Prepares and assesses loan servicing requests. Approves service level designations and borrower or guarantor financial requirements. Approves review frequency and assigned review dates. Ensures that all policy and regulation exceptions are appropriately documented.Business Support - Assists in collecting financial statements for analysis and loan approval purposes. Develops strong relationships with associates to facilitate an efficient and effective credit monitoring process. May act as an analytics resource for less experienced associates in the work group, or assist management with special projects as needed.Credit Monitoring - Identifies credit trends and portfolio deficiencies through continuous relationship monitoring. Recommends risk mitigation tactics or other methods to address credit findings. Notifies the appropriate parties of changes in portfolios.The base pay for this position is relative to your experience but the range is generally $88,286 to $153,029 per year. Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of experience in Commercial Credit Analysis and Small Business Administration Loan servicing OR High School Diploma or GED and 10 years of experience in Commercial Credit Analysis and Small Business Administration Loan servicing
Skill(s): Knowledge of banking, loan, and credit terminology, Knowledge of SBA standard operating procedures, Knowledge of credit policies and procedures, Knowledge of loan documentation and loan perfection requirements
Preferred Qualifications: SBA 7a experience, credit analysis/underwriting, knowledge of the SOP 50 10 7, knowledge of SOP
