The Managing Consultant SAP Development (SD) - will be responsible for driving portfolio related customer projects/programs in roles like Chief Developer, Principal Solution Architect or Principal Program Manager by utilizing and optimizing Wipro's local and global consulting capabilities.
As part of this the Managing Consultant will manage a team of technical SAP Developers (spanning across SAP development platforms/technologies like UI5/Fiori, CPI, BTP, ABAP-OO, Workflow, etc.), delivering development capabilities and consulting services to our regional accounts and will also be responsible as disciplinary manager for the employees in his team.
He/She is responsible for enabling practice led growth (strategic and operational) and provide guidance in developing opportunities in the region.
Role & Responsibilities
Technical Excellence and Portfolio
The Managing Consultant SD - will have to leverage the capabilities of the global practices within Wipro and will work closely with the experts on local pursuits in line with the business objectives of the practice.
He/She brings a deep experience in the SD related areas of SAP Implementation, Migration and Conversion projects and a good understanding of the overall interdependencies in such programs.
He/She has a profound expertise in SAP areas like BTP, SAP Integration Suite (CPI) and SAP cloud solutions.
The Managing Consultant SD - participates actively in the implementation of business strategies that helps in business growth of the practice.
People Management
The Managing Consultant SD - manages and coaches actively a team of (20-30) onsite employees, with technical and disciplinary responsibility.
The Managing Consultant SD - is responsible for nurturing and growing technological and methodological innovation within his/her practice employees, for building respective practice talent, career planning / competency development / re- and up-skilling of employees taking into consideration the forecasted demand from the country/region.
Resource Management
The Managing Consultant SD - manages the demands related to on time fulfilment for the requesting customer account. He/She will assist to drive efficiency and explore further resource supply onsite/nearshore/offshore.
The Managing Consultant SD - is responsible for performance management incl. annual appraisals of the employees assigned to his/her practice.
Compliance
The Managing Consultant SD - always ensures legal and regulatory compliance and adherence to Wipro policies and local company agreements.
Responsible for strict adherence of German Labor law including working hours, overtime and leave regulations and for guiding employees on those regulations and local polices.
Key Interfaces
The Managing Consultant SD reports into the Practice Head SAP Germany.
The Managing Consultant SD will interface with local as well as global leaders for his/her practice.
The Managing Consultant SD will closely interact with delivery management of the country/region/accounts for people upskilling plans and forecast demand planning and fulfillment.
Technical Skills
8-10 years of technical experience in his/her SAP Practice First experience in managing teams Deep Knowledge of the key business drivers and key technologies in his/her SAP Development practice, with a special focus on the European market Strong analytical skills Major Focus: In depth knowledge of SAP ABAP and other SAP development languages, workbench and tools Hands-on programming experience Experience of owning and developing SAP development standards Used to develop and communicate SAP development capabilities, designs and concepts to customers Deep expertise in SAP enhancement concepts Ideally possesses an SAP certification in one of the relevant areas Growth Focus: SAP S/4HANA programming and enhancement concepts
