Position Description

The Salesforce Architect will be responsible for designing robust Salesforce Government Cloud solutions for our federal client's mission critical programs. They will work as a trusted advisor to our federal clients and help architect the most efficient solutions that meet our client's business needs. They will work closely with the functional and security team to understand the overall project parameters. Together, you'll deliver high business value to your clients. This role requires a strong foundation in Salesforce coding and web development experience.
Your future duties and responsibilities
• Work with team and federal clients to create proof of concept solutions for the overall and individual components to validate Salesforce solution architecture.
• Review existing solution architecture and refine further
• Responsible for developing and customizing Salesforce applications using Apex, Visualforce, JavaScript, SQL, SOAP and REST Web Services
• Refine product backlog as part of the overall solution architecture effort
• Own the design of Salesforce platform solution, as well as integration design.
• Supervise the configuration, quality assurance, testing, and deployment of Salesforce,
• Collaborative project and workstream planning.
• Automate processes using Salesforce automation tools, such as Process Builder, Workflows, Formulas, Flow, Assignment Rules, E-mail Alerts
• Collaborate with team members and other departments in defining business requirements for optimal use of Salesforce functionality
• Proactively identify areas of improvement and functional gaps in Salesforce Applications
• Create and maintain technical documentation including process documentation, naming and commenting conventions and Salesforce policies/procedures
• Train and coach teammates

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a relevant field preferred.
• 8+ years overall technical professional experience
• 5+ years of experience with Salesforce architecture
• 5+ year of experience in Salesforce Development including Custom Objects, Apex, Triggers, Web Services, Visualforce, REST APIs, SOAP Web Services and Migration Tools
• Minimum Salesforce certified:
• Administrator
• Sales Cloud Consultant
• Service Cloud Consultant
• Platform App Builder
• Salesforce Architecture certifications
• Strong understanding of Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning components
• Familiarity with Salesforce development best practices and design patterns
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
OPTIONAL: Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required
Managerial skills
Delivering projects using Agile methodology
Due to the nature of the government contracts this position requires US Citizenship
This position can be located remotely anywhere in the U.S.
CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $175,000 - $190,000.
