Job Description
The Sr. Manager, Learning and Development will have responsibility for developing, implementing, and delivering sales training to the commercial organization within the Healthcare Market Division to increase sales productivity and accelerate growth as defined in the business strategies. They will work in partnership with commercial leaders and the extended training team to develop and deliver innovative and engaging sales training programs through a variety of formats. These programs will enable our sales teams to sell more effectively and consistently. This individual will focus initially on auditing and improving the onboarding of new hires as well as the growth and development of seasoned commercial team members.
This position is responsible for the design, development, delivery, and maintenance of the multi-level, multi-modality, selling skills curriculum, ensuring alignment of the sales training plan with the Healthcare Market Division Commercial Leadership Team. Success will be defined through training evaluation data, training-related indicators like proficiency / competency assessment, key sales performance metrics, and other relevant parameters.

Key Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Work with Commercial Leadership and Learning and Development team to design, develop, implement, and maintain sales training learning for a national sales workforce that includes, but is not limited to, in-person instructor-led, virtual instructor-led, eLearning, audio, video, activities, assessments, job aids and blended learning experiences.Design, develop and implement a robust, flexible, and sustainable onboarding framework and continuing education curriculum for the HMD Sales organization. Including onboarding management and coordination across the commercial team.Work with Human Resources to identify sales competencies for the various roles in the sales organization; develop links between training courses to support career path development.Integrate assessments of knowledge proficiency, behavioral competence & learning application / reinforcement across the curriculum using a variety of toolsApply learning reinforcement mechanisms and build sales managers coaching capability to ensure learning adoption, consistent and sustained practical application of skills, resulting in desired behavioral change and performance improvement.Assist in tracking and analyzing training key performance indicators, metrics and reporting to measure program effectiveness and impact on sales effectiveness.Understands internal and external market and competitor landscape changes which impact learning and performance in organizations; stays current on trends and anticipates opportunities to innovate and add value to the business.Ensure commercial leaders are accountable for ongoing execution of the sales training plan through reinforcement and integration with Global Marketing and Product Management campaigns.
Minimum Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Business, Communications, Human Resources, Education, Learning and Development or related field.Required - 5 years of sales training management experience (managed a team of 3 or more).Required - 5 years of learning and development and/or Instructional design experience including content development (instructor-led and e-Learning course design and development) and experience with a variety of content authoring tools People management (3+ years)Required - Track record of building a successful sales training department (establishment and rollout of new curriculum 2 years post implementation).Sales and/or marketing experience, having carried a bag in distribution, healthcare, life science, or diagnostics for 5+ years preferred.Excellent communication and facilitation skills.Effective project and budget management.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.Proficient in Docebo LMS.

Sets L&D vision and strategy that is aligned with business needs.Training facilitation and delivery experience (in person and online)Ideally certified to facilitate more than three sales training methodology programs (e.g. Richardson, Korn Ferry).Passion for Learning & Development with strong communication & influencing skills.Ability to work effectively, independently and manage project teams.Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team and in a matrix, environment supporting a commercial team.Ability to travel across the United States as required (~75% time).
