Job Description Summary
The role will refine and improve the capacity management and sales and operations planning processes for the GE Dayton shop. Employee will be responsible for understanding the inputs and outputs of the current capacity model and creating tools to allow for standardized scenario planning that can be used by the broader organization. Additionally, this role will have responsibility for an understanding of both GE and Unison 3rd party demand and forecast movement and driving the appropriate reconciliations with the plant and the commercial team.

Roles and Responsibilities:
Defines processes, IT tools, trainings, value stream, etc. to be used by the manufacturing community as they relate to the S&OP and capacity planning functionsFacilitates conversations and updates data to support scenario planning for capacity-based decisions including customer forecast changes, insourcing/outsourcing of work, and changes in internal capacityWorks with customer program managers to ensure that data and process is presented appropriately to the customer base for production assessmentsDevelops specialized knowledge in their discipline, including an understanding of both hard and soft capacity modeling.Serves as best practice resource for value stream.Contributes towards strategy and policy development for the Dayton site and ensure delivery within area of responsibility.Uses judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems in areas of operational/product management, manufacturing, technology or engineering.Takes new perspective on existing solutions.Uses technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations.Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own function to arrive at decisions.Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.May lead small projects with moderate risks and resource requirements.Explains difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensus.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree accredited college or university
At least 5 years of experience in a Manufacturing Environment
