Lead
Support and translate the mission, vision, and values of the organization
Execute the company’s overall strategy
Link the goals of the sales team to the overall company goals
Mid- to long-term development of the business and your team members
Facilitate motivation and fulfillment of each team member

Manage
Execute the sales and marketing strategy
Develop challenging goals and business strategies that are fully aligned with the overall Allergan business strategy for each team member.
Monitor the progress of these goals and implement coaching improvement strategies where necessary.
Work closely with team members to develop and foster strategic long-term relationships with key customers. Conduct frequent field visits with each Account Manager (approximately 80% of available time will be field-based work), develop an effective framework/goals for each field visit, and implement plans to drive growth.
Regularly review each Account Manager’s actual sales results against the target to ensure they meet or exceed their targets. Analyse and communicate VEEVA data to improve efficiencies.
Create a positive team environment through the demonstration of strong leadership behaviors, including communicating expectations, instilling an atmosphere of trust and respect, and leading by example.
Ensure all sales activities comply with legal and ethical standards.
Manage the team expenses within the agreed budget and contribute towards the setting of future budgets.

Unlock the full potential of each team member
Use a mix of coaching and development tools to help each team member realize their full potential. Performing all related people management activities, including recruiting new team members, conducting performance reviews, coaching for improved performance, reward and recognition.
Experience that will help you get started
Previous experience managing a dispersed sales team preferred
Strong understanding of the selling cycle and territory management practices
Practical working knowledge of financial reports, budgets and sales forecasts
Experience working within the pharmaceutical/healthcare industry in a field based sales role
Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets
Proven track record of positive account management and growing a customer base
Intermediate skills on Microsoft Office suite
Experience using Veeva or SalesForce.com is desired but not essential
