We are currently looking for Sales Ledger Specialist to support our Credit Control function. This is a 6-month fixed term contract based out of our Head Office in Northampton, working Monday to Friday. We will also be able to offer an element of hybrid working. You will be responsible for overseeing prompt d aily cash allocations and opening the sales ledger balances for allocated accounts. This is a varied, transactional role with the opportunity to develop your skills within credit control.

What you'll do on a typical day:
Take responsibility for daily cash allocation, monthly reconciliations, and preparation of bad debt Support with the new accounts process, intercompany balance settlements, reconciliations, and reporting Proactively chase customers to confirm payment and identify potential risks at an early stage to prevent any financial impact to the business Take responsibility for the accuracy and integrity of outstanding sales ledger balances Build and maintain effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders Support our credit control team and the continued improvement of our credit control function
What you need to succeed at GXO
Basic financial awareness / experience within a Finance/Credit Controlfunction or studying towards a Finance qualification Intermediate Excel, knowledge of SAP, Sage orOraclewould be a big tick for us Meticulous attention to detail with excellent organisational skills Able to work independently or as part of a team
