Objectives of the Position
To plan and execute direct sales activities and project acquisitions in South Asia, ASEAN to achieve agreed sales targets by positioning and execution of the sales process and the sales specific implementation of the CCB business unit strategy at the customer interface.
Specific responsibilities include annual and short termed sales plan development, project management, identifying and garnering the resources, uncovering new product markets, deliver revenue and product volume to develop and manage sales plan, initiating contacts with existing and potential customers to identify their needs in terms of product specifications, launching schedules and proactively share insights on market trend and customers’ needs to marketing and R&D community to support innovation pipeline & product development;
Leadership
Influence decision-makers in a complex environment within and outside BASF (Regional and Global counter parts) at all levels, and drive actions/decisions.
Provide Strategic and Leadership inputs / guidance for CCB business.
Work closely with Regional and Global teams for effective cross collaboration.
Optimize & strengthen relationship with stake holders and ensure customer satisfaction.
Represent BASF to improve company image in relevant automotive forums / events / networking.
Main Tasks
Accountable for the overall sales process, aiming to meet or exceed sales targets.
Responsible to develop, implement, monitor, report sales activity and project acquisition.
Develop and maintain strategic long-term business relationships with respective accounts (all decision-makers).
Maintain up-to-date awareness of market activities, technical development, industry trends, and legislative requirements to explain/introduce the company’s current and future strategies and/or make sound recommendation on modification/changes of strategies/practices.
Keep strong collaboration with regional R&D, technical sales, marketing and product management supply chain etc. to establish a communication path with the customer to ensure sales opportunities for product and services.
Identify development project pipelines and ensure the resources internally and trace the progress
Develop and recommend product positioning and pricing strategy to optimize a balance of sales, profitability and corporate objectives
To evaluate existing model and propose new business models / Strategy / Tactics to capitalize new opportunities in the changing industry dynamics.
Lead, Formulate and implement key account strategy and plan. Optimise the results, drive sales, achieve customer intimacy, increase recognition and customer satisfaction to realise growth of the account.
To represent the CCB business at key industry events to obtain information on market.
Establish control systems to effectively manage the business in line with targets. Establish and implement effective reporting systems to monitor the same.
Responsible for the sales team efficient management of receivable, DIV, DSO.
Ensures through the team accurate sales forecast, supporting efficient planning of products and services.
Minimum Education and Qualification Required for the Position
Education : Bachelor’s degree with MBA (desired).
Working Experience: Minimum 15 years of sales / B2B preferably with lithium ion battery industry or alternative Auto / Auto ancillary Industry (Includes min 5 years of management, supervisory, or team lead experience).
Technical & Professional Knowledge: Expertise of working in LiB Industry, industry recognition /experience
Added advantage of holding leadership position in relevant association / forum / Industry bodies.
