The Video Security & Access Control group at Motorola Solutions designs, develops, and manufactures video analytics, network video management software and hardware, surveillance cameras, and access control solutions. Avigilon's solutions have been installed at thousands of customer sites, including school campuses, transportation systems, healthcare centers, public venues, critical infrastructure, prisons, factories, casinos, airports, financial institutions, government facilities, and retailers.Job DescriptionThe Sales Engineering Manager - Unity (Central Region) will be responsible but not limited to the following:
Hiring and managing team members to support the growth of Avigilon
Provide mentoring and leadership for the Sales Engineers
Assess the Sales Engineers individually and provide career growth advice
Conduct employee reviews to ensure the team receives sufficient feedback
Monitor, track and provide guidance on employee KPI's
Liaise with Regional Sales and Senior Sales Directors to collaborate and execute territory goals as they pertain to the SE's involvementwith partners and RSMs.
Coordinate SE activities in local and regional trade shows with the marketing team.
Report the key wins and needs of your team to your manager
Work effectively with Avigilon employees
Manage demo equipment used by the Senior Sales Directors team
Manage and create budgets for the Sales Engineering team
Review employee expenses and approve as needed
Ensure any tools and/or training needed to support your teams growth are put in place
Act as the territory field support escalation manager coordinating with partners and the sales team on critical support issues
Perform related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree is highly desired
4+ years experience in Sales, Engineering, Presales or Surveillance
Seeking 2+ years of leadership experience
Excellent knowledge of networking principles and IP communication
Experience with computer hardware configuration and troubleshooting
Experience with network equipment configuration and troubleshooting
Experience in delivering performance reviews and performance management directly to employees
Strong understanding of the video surveillance and access control markets
Self-motivated and focused individual with a passion for technology and an aptitude for customer satisfaction
