Position Summary:The Voluntary Sales Account Executive for Aetna is responsible for selling to groups of 1000+ employees. This person will be responsible for selling employer-sponsored group voluntary plans (Accident, Critical Illness and Hospital Indemnity).They will develop and cultivate strong relationships with employee benefit insurance brokers and consultants and Aetna Sales & Client management teams to maximize sales opportunities and achieve profitable growth.This person will identify various ways to partner with the client by drawing from the entire spectrum of the product line, demonstrating a keen understanding of the client's multifaceted needs and benefits of Aetna's full product array.Coordinates sales materials, testimonials, and subject matter expert involvement in support of the successful delivery of prospect presentations.Communicates expertise on product solutions, industry trends, and emerging marketplace needs.
Required Qualifications:5+ years of previous wholesale group Voluntary benefits (Accident, Critical Illness & Hospital Indemnity) sales experience with either a competing carrier or an Insurance Consultant/Broker.- Effective written and verbal communication skills.- Excellent customer service skills.- High proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite and other desktop applications.- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, stressful environment.- Capable of working in a team environment.- Flexibility to conduct in-person meetings and travel within assigned geography.- Insurance Health & Life License
Preferred Qualifications:
8+ years wholesale Group employee benefits experience
Established broker/consultant relationships in Southeast or gulf state region.
Education:Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience)
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$54,400.00 - $113,900.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
