Summary:
The Sales Compensation Principal will support sales compensation administration and design activities, including implementation, administration, communication, monitoring, and reporting of incentive compensation plans across the organization globally. The role collaborates regularly with the sales operations team and other cross-functional teams (e.g., finance, billing).
Responsibilities:
Provide leading contributions to day-to-day activities of the Sales Compensation Team including implementation, administration, communication, monitoring, and reporting of commission and quota-based compensation plans. Leads sales compensation modelling in conjunction with HR & Sales Leadership, Sales Operations and Finance Teams. Participates in calculation of monthly, quarterly, and annual incentive payments, and leads process optimization. Supports finance, payroll and compensation teams with analysis, and develops reporting for leadership. Leads activities related to tracking and documentation of sales plan governance, profitability, and progress towards strategic objectives. Conducts analyses to identify improvement areas. Identifies, researches, and provides recommendations for sales compensation-related inquiries in a timely manner. Reports to the VP of Sales Compensation
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years' experience in the field of sales incentive compensation, financial analysis, or similar analytical role. Best in class skills in assessing data quality, preparing advanced data analyses, and building complex data models (e.g. Monte Carlo simulations). Experience summarizing findings and preparing initial recommendations. Strong Microsoft Word, Power Point, and Excel skills. Meticulous attention to detail and superior written and oral communication skills. Strong organizational skills with ability to manage deadlines and prioritize workload. Focus on internal customer service and continuous process improvement. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment with a positive attitude.
Preferred Skills:
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in quantitative and/or analytical field. Experience building advanced data models (e.g. Monte Carlo simulations). Experience with sales technology platforms.
