About the role
The person in this position should be an example in the application of H&S policies since it will have a direct impact on the prevention of accidents and compliance with the safety and health program.Facilitate the H&S team in meeting the department's critical metricsDevelop the training program for plant personnel, new entrants, contractors and visitors, as well as ensure that this plan is implemented promptly in coordination with the areas involved.Conduct inspections, tours, and audits to verify that all H&S conditions are being met by EHS standards and policies established in the field and on farms.Participate in the investigation and definition of the root cause of incidences of findings on any aspect related to EHS (Potential Risks, Unsafe Acts, Unsafe Conditions, Contaminants, Agrochemicals, etc.) that threaten Safety, Health, or the Environment.Follow up from the beginning to the closure of corrective and preventive actions derived from inspections, audits, and employee reports promptly.Facilitate the implementation of H&S reports by defining, with the Governance Manager, electronic platforms to generate administrative documents, as requested.Participate in the preparation of Risk Analysis by Jobs, supervision of contractors, and signing permits for high-risk jobs.Control the cost center of the H&S team department and the distribution in each agricultural base, as well as the generation of the budget.Ensures legal compliance and corporate standards (GRMS) in EHS.Participate as an internal advisor in the development of new projects to ensure that they are conceived, planned, implemented, and put into operation by applicable standards and laws.Carry out the statistical analysis of the performance of the agricultural centers in terms of H&S and keep the Governance Management informed of said performance.Establish action plans when areas of opportunity are detected that threaten the physical integrity of people, equipment, facilities, and business continuity.Attend the visits of government agencies, establish action plans derived from said visits, and maintain a continuous follow-up for the closure in time and form of the actions or recommendations.Maintain control of permits, licenses, and legal obligations to ensure their updating promptly.Requirements :
Career completed in any of the areas related to EHS or Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Health, or any related career.5 years of experience in a similar job.Effective communication, Leadership, Focus on results, Teamwork, Self-taught, Tolerance, Honesty, Proactivity and dynamism, Quick adaptation to the environment and changes.Skills to search for information in various media, preferably knowledge in Office, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel. Power BI is desirable.Knowledge of English read and spoken is required.Knowledge of applicable NOMs, work permits for critical activities, risk identification, and accident investigation. Behavior-based securityis desirable.
