Schedule will include some nights, weekends, holidays and split shifts, including numerous phone calls at all hours of the day and/or night.Job SummaryThis position oversees the day-to-day safety operations of the Vessels, Vancouver Export Terminal employees and Longshoreman, and provides support to employees at our other terminals located throughout, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, and South Dakota. Abides by federal, state, and local mandates regarding the wellbeing and safety of the grain facilities and equipment to provide a safe environment for all.As the Safety Manager, you will promote a culture of safety, health, and accident prevention, along with ensuring compliance with state and federal safety laws, in collaboration with the Director of the VET and the VP of Operations.
