Overview:
We are currently seeking a Safety Coordinator for our Denver office. This position will assist the Safety Manager in carrying out all required safety and compliance tasks – in turn, helping to achieve company safety performance goals. It is imperative that the safety department drives a culture of safe production. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned. Expected pay range: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour DOE.
Responsibilities:
Perform Job Site Observations
Ensure monthly JSO goals are being met by individual managers and safety department as a wholeTrack safety performance metrics to ensure that they are being met as necessary
Conduct safety onboarding and DOT compliance information for new hires on a weekly basis
Monitor DriveCam events daily and coach drivers as necessary – track 5 in 60 program
Seek annual, seasonal and current safety topics from various sources
Track hot gloves, harnesses, lanyards and other required safety equipment
Perform weekly safety meeting as needed
Assist with investigation, reporting and tracking of damages
Assist with investigation, reporting and tracking of injuries
Assist with investigation, reporting and tracking of accidents
Assist with tracking compliance items through Rair and Intelex
Assist with annual safety training and tracking for each employee
Qualifications Qualifications: Must be able to stand, walk, bend and lift up to 50lbs on a regular basis
Background in safety or working under strict safety program strongly preferred
Hold a valid Driver’s License and understand DOT rules and Regulations
Base knowledge of supplies and equipment
Requirements:Ability to work individually and as part of a team
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Google Mail
Demonstrated ability to learn new software programs
