Job Description Summary

　　We have an exciting opportunity within our Rotor Manufacturing Engineering Department for a Rotor Testing and Analysis Engineer (m/f/). This person reports to Manufacturing Engineering Manager Rotor for the factory in Birr.

　　The focus of this role is enabling the high-speed balancing and testing of different rotor types by developing processes and supporting all spin pit activities with respect of Safety, Quality, Delivery and Costs.

　　Your roles and responsibilities

　　Responsible for the NPI (New Process Implementation) process of the spin pit including high speed balancing, mechanical tests of steam turbine rotors, gas turbine rotors and electrical/mechanical tests of generator rotorsFeasibility studies regarding the fulfilment of technical requirements based on existing capabilities and installed equipmentDefinition of testing and measuring concepts according to EHS regulations, specifications, and quality requirementsDefinition of needed tools and equipmentCalculation resource requirements and through put timeDevelopment of new or update to existing processesPreparation of manufacturing documents and measurement protocolsResponsible for the measurement processes needed to balance several types of rotors and the electrical testing of generator rotorsEvaluation of measured rotor dynamic and electrical dataSupport and identification of continuous improvement opportunities for the spin pit maintenance programTrouble shooting and production support in case of machine downtime or quality issuesPreparation of technical input for nonconformance reports

　　Bachelor`s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering with focus on rotor dynamic or equivalent knowledgeStrong experience in high-speed balancing or similar disciplineElectrotechnical knowledgeExperience of measurement and analysis techniquesGood German and English skills both in spoken and written
