Assist development of new technology to decarbonize our society by providing engineering automation solutions. Evaluation of rotor dynamic behavior of our product lines.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Candidate willing to perform a wide variety of tasks related to mechanical design and rotor dynamic analysis of centrifugal compressor/turbo machinery components & work on developing associated software applications.
Leverage core engineering principals combined with Software Development to realize engineering and design automation software solutions.
Formulate and programmatically represent, complex mathematical models that collect engineering knowledge and rules.
Develop applications and complete unit test cases as per the functional requirements.
Perform hand calculations and correlate/compare analytical results.
Define required software work packages for team members without detailed knowledge of mechanical design / turbomachinery.
Perform mechanical / rotodynamic evaluations as part of the development of future products.
What You Bring
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent engineering is required.
2+ years of experience in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent engineering field is required.
Ability to communicate clearly and accurately, both written and verbally, at all levels of the organization
Ability to work in a flexible, multi-functional, team-based, development environment that is comprised. of both local Siemens Energy Engineers and 3rd party consultants/contractors.
Ability to use core engineering principals combined with Software Development to realize engineering and design automation software solutions.
Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
Preferred Knowledge/Skills and Experience:
Experience in developing anddeploying software applications like engineering automation softwareapplications
Familiaritywith, or experience in the following:
DyRobes& MADYN2000 tools
Programminglanguages C#.Net and/or Java
NX or otherCAD tools (solid understanding on geometry cleaning and de-featuring)
CodeRepository Software (preferably GIT; Microsoft Team Foundation Server(TFS)) and developing applications on Windows or Linux
FieldFailure investigation & RCA support methods
Creatingrules/algorithms for mechanical design of components and/or products.
