As a Robotics Rebuild Technician, you will be responsible for planing and perform a variety of analytical, mechanical and associated duties without supervision involving such functions as planning, schedule coordination, maintenance and parts inventory status. Items are typically related to complex or large-scale robotic and automated equipment. Pursue initiatives to improve effectiveness of the group and increase quality and customer satisfaction with safety being of top importance.Your responsibilities
Participate in project kickoff meeting with project manager/sales consultant. Inspect and Final Inspect projects with PM and ensure open items on final inspect are closed. Inspect all technicians work as needed. Inspect the Tech folder on Inspect & Quotes. Forward completed inspection to estimator. Conduct detailed inspections and write-up technical findings. Conduct repairs according to manuals and processes. Problems solve parts issues with Planner/PM. Participate in department meetings and communication status of projects to PM and Supervisor. Problem Solve/Debug with Technicians on orders and projects. Provide technical expertise on repairs/refurbishment.Prepare specifications and documents in accordance with requirements, established formats and general instructions. Help with recommendations relative to the robot repair and refurbishment operations. Arrange for purchase of equipment, materials or parts, and conduct evaluations to determine compliance with quality standards and specifications.In relation to the repair and refurbishment of robots and automation, plan and conduct analyses and tests, and prepare related recommendations and reports. Help with investigation of complex technical problems typically requiring unique solutions and rapid responses to prevent delays or failures. As required, provide technical direction and coordinate activities of less experienced staff. Your background
High School diploma, or GED, and minimum 7 years of experience in rebuild, maintenance, customers service support, automation, robotics; OR Associate degree, preferably in engineering or robotics, and minimum 57 years of experience in rebuild, maintenance, customers service support, automation, robotics.Open to travel about 25% of the time.Must follow safety protocols.Preferred Qualification: Familiar with SAP - change order, parts, etc.Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the USA.More about usWe look forward to receiving your application.
