Overview
This Second Line role leads the Operational Loss Event (ORE) Program including ongoing monthly reporting, overseeing the operational event data collection process and related databases, and completing ad-hoc analysis.
Core responsibilities include active oversight, execution, and ongoing monitoring of the ORE program capturing Op Loss Data, effective challenge, Enterprise Issues Management linkage, and regulatory reporting (e.g., FR Y-14Q & 14A Schedule E reporting). Additionally, this role includes maintaining and enhancing ORE program minimum standards, preserving centralized hierarchies, generating data visualization of operational losses, and supporting required reporting. This role will also conduct quality reviews of the data and provide guidance for reporters, review and provide data for operational risk management, as well as regulatory and consortium reporting including support for external operational event review and analysis.
To perform this role, a prominent level of interaction is required with First Line business units and associates at all levels of the organization facilitating and ensuring timely and accurate reporting as well as providing continued project management execution to enhance the program in adherence with industry standards.

Responsibilities
Program Oversight and Monitoring: Provides objective oversight of operational risks events program through quality assurance and quality control measures using defined methodologies and subject matter expertiseFosters business unit relationships and implements training to promote engagement and proper adherence to program minimums, including compliance with all risk policies and standardsProvide programmatic support in relation to ORE program, enterprise partners, and key stakeholders which informs and drives effective leadership decision-making including interconnectivity amongst Enterprise Risk and Operational Risk programs strengthening oversight, reporting, and remediation of known gapsAssists and/or generates with presentations, workshops, and other materials as necessary to communicate risk management tactics Develop relationships and remain active in professional networks (e.g., ABA, RMA, etc.) to stay abreast of current and emerging issuesRisk Reporting:Determine methods or analytics needed to provide intelligence through utilization of various program dataFacilitates the development of analyses and reports to support the appropriate identification, assessment, monitoring, and reporting of operational risk eventsCompiles information and utilizes reports to bring key factors to executive attentionMaintains a prominent level of attention to detail in the execution of their workAnalyze data, identify trends, and summarize substantial amounts of information succinctlyExpertise in dashboard and report development using various tools and resources (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Tableau)Supports projects, including key risk management framework initiatives, that improve risk management capabilitiesAll other duties as assignedQualifications
Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of experience in Financial Services, Enterprise Risk Management, Operational Risk Management, Compliance, Audit, Finance, or Accounting OR High School Diploma or GED and 10 years of experience in Financial Services, Enterprise Risk Management, Operational Risk Management, Compliance, Audit, Finance, or AccountingAdditional Requirements:
Knowledge of regulatory guidance pertaining to enterprise risk and operational risk (e.g., FDIC, OCC, FRB, CFPB, etc.)Ability to directly interact with key internal stakeholders and communicate effectivelyAbility to leverage relationship management capabilities and demonstrate problem solving skillsExcellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and writtenExceptional organization, analysis, decision making and problem resolution skills Uses independent judgment and creativity to accomplish objectives Must be able to meet deadlinesAdvanced PC Skills including Microsoft Visio, Excel, and PowerPoint
Other Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced degree (e.g., MBA, etc.)Experience working with a GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) application (e.g., Archer)Experience with operational risk senior management and regulatory reporting (e.g., FR Y-14Q Schedule E)Prior experience with development of end-user guidance, process workflows, targeted communications, and trainingThe base pay for this position is relative to your experience but the range is generally $98,000 to $160,000 per year. This position is eligible for variable compensation, which may be in the form of incentive, bonus, or commission pay.
