Description
We are looking for a Risk Manager with analytical and investigative skills and a passion for protecting our customers from abusive actors and unfair business practices. This role involves interacting with several systems and using large data sets to identify patterns of risks, performing comprehensive investigations of potential abuse, writing reports to describe the results of the investigations, suggesting corrective actions, compiling reports of factual findings to present to legal partners, and driving the implementation of remedial actions.

Basic Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience conducting intelligence, counter-intelligence, risk/law enforcement investigations and/or analysis and delivering successful results substantiating and mitigating threats
• Experience working within intelligence, fraud, compliance, insider risk or law enforcement organizations
• High level of integrity and discretion to handle confidential information
• Experience in producing effective documents to stakeholders on investigative findings
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills with a natural tendency to use data in decision-making and prioritization
• Demonstrated analytical and quantitative skills using hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases
• Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
• Experience defining requirements, facilitating progress and identifying blockers
• Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization
• Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Experience in a related discipline/field
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with SQL and Microsoft Excel
• Ability to work independently and demonstrate sound judgment in ambiguous situations
• Experience collaborating across varied stakeholders and teams and navigate differing objectives while keeping focus on important task and preserving our customer trust
• Experience working within fraud, compliance, or law enforcement organizations
• Proven ability to bring clarity to ambiguous situation
• Experience in e-commerce / on-line companies in fraud / risk control functions
• Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior management
• Experience working with global stakeholders

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $59,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
