Amazon’s Supply Chain Loss Prevention Execution (SCLPE) team is seeking a highly skilled, influential, and motivated Risk Manager to join our dynamic and growing team. As the Risk Manager, Emerging Markets you will play a critical role in building and managing loss prevention strategies and programs associated with our operations in emerging markets. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of Amazon’s rapidly expanding transportation network.
The ideal candidate will be bi-lingual Spanish and English. Will bring a Bias for Action, and have experience in program or project management to support the Sr. Risk Manager, Emerging Markets in the build out of loss prevention initiatives across Amazon’s emerging markets.
Key job responsibilities
Develop Standard Work and optimize strategies and processes for Amazon’s Emerging Market loss prevention team.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Legal, Operations, Finance, Tech, and Compliance, to drive risk awareness and implement effective risk management practices across emerging markets
Utilize data analytics and reporting tools to identify trends, insights, and potential areas of risk, providing regular updates and recommendations to leadership
Researching industry trends and best practices for risk management and mitigation
Independently manage projects as assigned
Travel domestically and/or internationally up to 25% of the time
A day in the life
As a Risk Mgr, Emerging Markets you will be tasked with building programmatic Loss Prevention solutions for our business stakeholders, as well as creating and implementing Standard Operating Procedures in the Emerging Markets.
About the team
The SCLPE team uses a start-up mentality to innovate and make an impact beyond our team and our organization; positively impacting the Amazon Transportation network. We call on our ingenuity to invent novel ways to address and mitigate risk across Amazon’s complex and rapidly growing transportation platforms. SCLPE supports the execution and expanding of loss prevention processes by creating loss prevention standard work, developing network delivery solutions and escalation paths for customers and account managers, identifying applicable metrics to identify theft/ fraud, investigating theft/ fraud cases and building new programs to incorporate loss prevention and security standards.

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Transportation Logistics, or related field from an accredited university.
3+ years of product or program management in the supply chain or loss prevention industry
3+ years of coordinating with cross-functional teams to develop, implement, and measure programs
3+ years of experience with MS Office Professional Suite, including Excel
Proficient in spoken and written Spanish
Preferred Qualifications
MBA or MS in related field
Proven experience working with global stakeholders to solve complex logistics challenges, specific to Mexico, Canada and/ or Brazil
Experience with loss prevention, transportation and/or the supply chain
Familiarity with regulatory environments and challenges in emerging markets
Experience with analytical tools such as SQL, QuickSight, or MS Excel
Proven ability to influence internal/external stakeholders without authority to adopt new processes/initiatives
Executive level written and oral communication skills
Proficient in spoken and written Portuguese

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $59,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
