We help our Client, and their Customers, to successfully integrate (component-by-component) financial management systems. We need like-minded mission-focused professionals to join in our growth.
What is the position?
Identify and manage risk and risk reporting, over a number of simultaneous projects in multiple components.
What will I get to do?
Implement and manage a comprehensive Risk Program to identify, mitigate, and track all risks to FSM Programs
Identify a Risk Management tool that will be used to house all risks across the JPMO and Component FSM initiatives
Maintain a risk register using information technology tools as a master repository of all FSM risks across the DHS Enterprise
Define and maintain an FSM Risk Management Plan to document an end-to-end process to manage risks from initial reporting to final resolution
Define and maintain program-specific Risk Management Plans to document program specific implementation of JPMO risk
Perform in-depth analysis of risks producing data that includes (but is not limited to) probability distributions of risk occurrence, costs, and impacts. Analysis should be clearly exhaustive and include at a minimum source data, mean, variance, coefficient of variation, sensitivity analysis (including key variables), and assumptions
Facilitate Risk Management IPT meetings with JPMO and Component stakeholders
Work with stakeholders to help define informally documented risks and to identify proper owners
Assist risk owners in developing detailed, discrete, actionable, and timed mitigation plans for risks
Work with risk owners to status active risks, track probability, impact, trigger dates, and progress in enacting mitigation and contingency plans.
Close out risks when they have been avoided, transferred, or sufficiently mitigated as appropriate
Document and prepare materials to present risks to external stakeholders such as Chief Executive Officers (CXO), Acquisition Review Boards, OMB, Congress, etc
Provide industry best practices, lessons learned, and innovative approaches to addressing and minimizing risk across the JPMO and Component programs
What qualifications do I need?
US Citizen able to pass a government level background check and obtain a Public Trust
Minimum of 6 years experience in Risk Management
Experience in the planning, initiation, and management of information technology (IT) projects
Has led and guided the work of technical staff
Served as liaison between business and technical aspects of projects.
Experience planning project stages and assessment of business implications for each stage
Prior experience monitoring progress to assure deadlines, standards, and cost targets are met
Has provided technical/management leadership on major tasks or technology assignments
Prior experience establishing goals and plans that meet project objectives.
Has demonstrated domain and expert technical knowledge
Directs and controls activities for a client, having overall responsibility for financial management, methods, and staffing to ensure that technical requirements are met
Proven ability to direct and control activities for a client, having overall responsibility for financial management, methods, and staffing to ensure that technical requirements are met
Experience with interactions involving client negotiations and interfacing with senior management
What additional characteristics will help me thrive?
Experience working with ServiceNow, Momentum, Oracle Federal Financials, SAP, or other Oracle systems
Current or recent experience supporting DHS or another federal agency

Compensation
$91,242.70 - $150,555.93
The pay range for this job is determined by various factors, including but not necessarily limited to location, responsibilities of the job, and alignment with market data. When determining a salary for this role, the following factors may be taken into consideration - contract-specific affordability, education, knowledge, skills, competencies and experience. The estimate displayed represents the salary range for this position and is just one component of Cognosante’s total compensation package for employees. It is not necessarily reflective of actual compensation that may be earned, nor a promise of any specific pay for any specific employee.
