Role Responsibilities
Responsible for performing complex analysis and is engaged in the development of modeling that maximizes profits and asset growth and minimizes credit and operating losses and other risk exposures. Provides analytical support on various product strategies to ensure company goals are met. Coordinates the production of performance reports for Senior Management. Reviews and analyzes trends in current population distributions and recommends strategies. May participate in or develop complex program models to extract data and use databases to provide statistical and financial modelling.
Responsible for completing analysis on the CVL portfolio and new originations to identify issues, opportunities and recommend credit actions. Communicates with impact and presents to peers and Enterprise Risk partners. Strong SAS or SQL skill set required. Coordinates the production of performance reports for Senior Management. Reviews and analyzes trends in current population distributions and recommends strategies. The Risk Analysis Specialist will use their business and technical knowledge to work on multiple reports at various stages of the lifecycle - building new reports, adding enhancements, validating existing reports and identifying opportunities for consolidation and elimination.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
• Performing analysis on new or emerging trends
• Assisting with review of strategies to ensure company goals are met
• Enhancing Portfolio/Strategy Monitoring
• Reviewing and analyzing portfolio asset quality and emerging trends and risks
• Participation in pilot programs, champion/challenger strategies and tests
large data experience preferred; Programming experience and relevant degree or large data experience required.
Required Skills:
• BS/BA (business / economics / finance / quantitative)
• 5+ years supporting Consumer and/or Small Business Products or comparable experience in Risk, Compliance, Audit, or similar Risk function
• Ability to combine business acumen with analytical skills, interpret large amounts of data, synthesize multiple analysis into a coherent message, and translate into actionable insights
• SAS / SQL / Tableau
• Ability to leverage analytical techniques to identify potential improvements in strategies
• Ability to escalate identified issues to management with the proper assessment, root cause analysis, impact, and next steps
• Experience in developing presentations
• Excellent oral, written, influencing and interpersonal communication skills
• Proficiency in using MS Word, EXCEL and PowerPoint
• Demonstrated ability to overcome obstacles and manage conflict constructively
Desired Skills:
• Python knowledge / Microsoft Power Bi
