Leidos Defense Systems, a wholly owned subsidiary of Leidos, is seeking a talented Sustainment HW/SW RF Engineer to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics provides alert, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.
The RF and EW Threat Systems Development Department has a diverse portfolio of projects and programs which specialize in foreign threat radar systems, RF software-in-the-loop (SIL) and hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) simulators, and open air radar development. This position will be tasked with management and execution of the Sustainment group in support of the Laboratory, Virtual, and Constructive (LVC) Production and Sustainment program.
Primary Responsibilities
The Sustainment HW/SW RF Engineer will support the Sustainment Manager on all aspects of sustainment program deliverables. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in risk and configuration management, possess exceptional systematic and problem-solving skills, operate with limited supervision and feedback, be a strong team player, and have the ability to establish solid working relationships with both the customer and the program team. Candidates should have working knowledge in communications, RF, EW, and radar systems; sustainment HW/SW system integration; and/or sustainment system test and evaluation, and data collection. Frequent interaction with the customer through readiness reviews, in-process reviews and customer visits is needed. The candidate will be a proactive, self-starter with significant technical influence and excellent communication skills.
Qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree in electrical or computer engineering or a related field and four (4) + years of relevant work history. An MS degree in a relevant field can be used in lieu of 2 years of experience.
Possess a demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks, adapt quickly to changing demands, and work both solo and on a team.
Ability to effectively convey processes and procedures to program employees, partner organizations, and customers.
Self-starter that can establish priorities, resolve immediate issues, and coordinate with customer or program management on complex problems.
Must have working knowledge of Agile and CostPoint Software.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with working on both firm fixed price and cost-plus contract types is preferred but not required.Security Requirements:
Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (as well as maintain) a Final Secret Clearance.
Pay Range:
Pay Range $81,250.00 - $146,875.00
