The Strategic Account Manager is responsible for achieving their quarterly and annual sales plan by securing new client appointments and optimally building a sales pipeline through continuous, ongoing prospecting for existing and new customers. They will gather client intelligence before appointments, and tailor a refreshments program to meet client needs, driving close rates. This role will negotiate pricing, product, and equipment options and coordinate vital program demos.
Job Responsibilities
The AR Strategic Account Manager?s key job objectives include the following:
? Retain the assigned clients within the managed territory through our contract management process.
? Prospect companies within your assigned territory.
? Grow the business by closing product voids in alignment with adjacencies and execution against base business recovery activities.
? Develop programs for assigned clients to deliver consistent revenue growth and improved gross profit (GP) dollars.
? Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and ethical conduct in all business activities.
? Partner with other sales and service resources to align the right resources to each opportunity and situation.
? Conduct Client Visitations and Client Business Reviews to client expectations.
? Profitably sell local office coffee service items to new customers.
? Focus on selling high-margin solutions.
? Lead Refreshment Services Retail Convenience Retail program roadmap, strategy, development, management, continuous improvement, innovation, and measurement as well as strategic partnerships.
? Work closely with sector stakeholders, clients, cross-functional and external partners to help develop and deliver retail initiatives and continuously improve retail strategy.
? Develop retail selling and operation standards.
? Track, analyze, and ensure measurement tools are in place. Oversee program implementation audits, conduct field visits to observe program execution, and capture feedback to improve performance.
? Owns the Retail strategy for Product, Pricing, Promotion, Branding, and Design. Manages the team members that support these elements.
? Develop annual budget, oversee the pipeline process, and ensure that programs are delivered on time and within budget.
Qualifications
? Bachelor's degree preferred with a minimum of 3+ years of business-to-business, outside sales experience focused on new account generation, preferably selling a service.
? Shown success in developing new business and generating sales leads within an assigned sales territory.
? Strong presentation and communication skills with a consultative selling approach.
? Ability to influence decision-makers at all levels of an organization, from a CEO to a front-office professional.
? Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Salesforce.
? A valid driver?s license.
? There will be travel based on business needs.
? Successful candidate will have above-average P&L acumen.
? Strong ability to work influence without authority and work successfully with multiple internal stakeholders and occasional dealing with ambiguity.
? **Bilingual French/English preferred.
