ROLE AND DEPARTMENT
The Retail Manager is responsible for Retail Sales Excellence on all levels.
Manage & lead Team/Retail Sales Specialist on development including promotional and merchandising activities related to a Duty-Free distribution channel and organization. Gather & providing feedback on competitors and retailers sales and activities to the Key Account Manager & other departments within Travel Retail.
Retail Manager reports to the Key Account Manager.
THE ROLE
In this role you will be responsible for:
RETAIL SALES/EXCELLENCE
Collaborate closely with retailer on anything Retail related to help drive sell-out. Monitor closely on the retail performance of newness and our core lines Support Retail Sales Specialist in planning and implementation of goals/ambitions including retail sales targets, action plans to drive sell-out Identification of any likely risk/opportunities and make necessary recommendations to Sales Manager To drive improvement in store ranking/market share of Coty brands (KPI) Identify potential space improvement at shopfloor or any opportunities to improve our retail sales performance Provide an in-depth monthly analysis of the market to Sales Manager & other Departments within Travel Retail.
MERCHANDIZING EXCELLENCE
Work with Retail Sales Specialist on perfect retail merchandizing excellence to observed at all times (sufficient testers, testers stand, lighting, clean counters etc) To work closely with DP on fulfilment rate of non-sellable Ensure TRIP checks are being performed To nurture strong business partnership with shopfloor team Partner closely with marketing and merchandizing team to put forward recommendations. To readily share competitor's insight & propose appropriate actions to maximize sales and brand visibility
PROMOTION EXECUTION
Ensure with the help & support from the Retail Sales Specialist Execution of all planned promotions & all elements are in place. Support Retail Sales Specialist on the preparation of COMA deck for Merchandising and Promotion team for promotion execution Work with Retail Sales Specialist to Co-ordinate, analyze and exploit all data on the activity level of the points of sale, on the feed-back of merchandising and promotional activities of Coty brands and competitors Provide weekly and monthly updates and follow-up on key information as requested by Sales Manager & other departments Manage budget and costs relating to retail Keeps abreast of and provide info on competitor activities, making recommendations to boost sales
ADMINSTRATIVE SUPPORT
Support Sales Manager in preparation of MBU & Business Review Prepare COMA decks for Capex projects
INVENTORY CONTROL/FULFILMENT
Feedback on sell-out, trends to help project and plan accurate forecasts. Give on-going feedback to Demand planning team on performance, promotions & Market trends To keep track of retailers' placement of newness orders and short shipment
BEAUTY ADVISOR MANAGEMENT
Oversee Retail Sales Specialist on the leadership & development of the BA Teams Conduct regular reviews with Retail Sales Specialist to monitor BA monthly sales performance and examine ways to improve their productivity. Propose addition BA head count when business is in need or can foresee upcoming opportunities
E-COMMERCE/ TRADE MARKETING
To improve Coty E-Commerce presence in retailers' platforms (regular updates of newness and banner updates) Develop and execute effective livestream programme by working with cross-functional teams (marketing, commercial, retail & education team) To collaborate across cross-department to drive instore activities especially during KCP Stay abreast of the competitive landscape and propose new initiatives to Sales Manager. WHAT YOU'LL BRING
Extensive knowledge of retailers and channels for beauty industry, focus on key account, and Travel Retail & e-Commerce is a plus. The ability to work autonomously, as well as part of a team, and is confident in managing relationships at all levels. Operational efficient, strategically credible. Adaptive: Able to adapt plans, strategies and processes in ways suited to the needs of the business while promoting consistency. Organized: Well organized, with a disciplined approach to evaluating priorities in a fast-changing environment. Driven: Relentless pursuit of progress and achievement of goals. Depending on Sub-Region Travel is part of the role Being able to work under fast pace and in matrix organization. Effective relationship building skills with internal and external partners.
We'd love to see candidates who have:
At least 3-5 years' working experience including at least 2 years in beauty/ cosmetics industry with an enthusiasm for retail sales Industry knowledge & Travel Retail experience a plus, but not essential Competent in Excel & PowerPoint Good negotiation skills
