This position is virtual during the 16-week returnship program. The goal of this program is to hire individuals who were successful throughout the program duration. A full-time offer will be virtual.
RET Software Research Engineer/Scientist
Develops and implements Resolution Enhancement Technology (RET) for nanoscale process technologies. Scope includes data analysis, simulation modeling and usage/creation of software applications to perform layout correction for high resolution wafer patterning. Applies software engineering methods towards the investigation and solution of technical RET problems. Utilizes knowledge of principles and theories in lithography, optics, resists, modeling, and software engineering.
Responsibilities may include:
Optical Proximity Correction (OPC) simulations.Image processing and statistical analysis of data for OPC models.OPC model calibration, recipe optimization and code validation.Support of production tapeouts and production disposition.Creation of technical documentation and presentations.
Qualifications
You must possess the minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must have been out of the paid workforce for at least one yearPossess a Bachelors degree in an engineering or core science discipline (Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, etc.).3+ years in a programming (e.g. C++) or scripting (e.g. Python) language
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a Linux computing environment.Experience in statistical data analysis.Experience in semiconductor processingExperience in numerical modelingExperience in software engineeringExperience in database creation and managementM.S. degree in an engineering or core science discipline (Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, etc.).

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, Colorado, New York, Washington, California: $52,000.00-$200,000.00
*Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience
Working Model
This role is available as a fully home-based and generally would require you to attend Intel sites only occasionally based on business need. This role may also be available as our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
