The Respiratory Therapist 2 - H is responsible for the overall provision of respiratory care, including the planning developing and implementation of respiratory care programs; direct supervision of respiratory care practitioners; coordination of Inservice programs. The Respiratory Therapist 2 - H work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action.
The Respiratory Therapist 2 - H conducts pulmonary function tests; assesses and interprets evaluations and test results; determines respiratory therapy treatment plans in consultation with physicians and by prescription. Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed. Follows established guidelines/procedures.

Required Qualifications
Complies with federal, state, and local legal and certification requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.Current state license to practice respiratoryComplies and maintains current CPR certificationThis role is considered patient facing and is part of Humana's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program.
