Who We Are
HII's Fleet Support Group is seeking a Resource Manager to join its team of qualified and diverse individuals supporting our Systems Integration (SI) Business Unit. As a Resource Manager, you will coordinate personnel recruitment and trades employee work assignments while ensuring compliance with company policies and customer requirements. The Resource Manager will collaborate with SI and FSG leadership teams to develop staffing strategies in support of a diverse portfolio.
Preference is for individual to be based at our San Diego, CA location with periodic travel being required (<25%). Teleworking from another FSG facility may be considered for an experienced candidate. In a teleworking situation, the candidate would travel as deemed necessary to support recruiting events.
What You Will Do
Recruitment and retention of skilled trade employees to include career development assistance.
Coordinate trade employee work assignments in support of projects forthcoming and in progress.
Ensure compliance with established policy, procedures, and processes addressing resource management.
Actively work to offer suggestion to enhance overall efficiency with the existing Resource Management framework.
Assesses issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and leadership's satisfaction goals and objectives.
Coordinate with leadership to right size the workforce based on workload projections.
What You Must Have
Working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Ability to travel as needed.
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to use them in informing and problem solving with a wide range of people.
Dynamic, self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to function independently, meet deadlines and achieve commitments.
A flexible approach to work, an understanding of working collaboratively on a team, and the willingness to be an active and supportive member of a cross-functional team.
6 years relevant progressive experience with Bachelors in related field; 4 years relevant progressive experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant progressive experience.

Experience in recruiting and providing administrative oversight to employees.
Experience in the ship repair industry and knowledge working on surface, submarines and shore facilities.
Demonstrated experience in collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams.
Current security clearance.
Physical Requirements
May be required to visit job site in an industrial or shipboard environment. Normally not required to lift more than 40 pounds higher than three feet above feet/floor level.
