Your Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a background or strong interest in interior design to manage the resource library and vendor relationships and provide support to interior designers. This is an on-site position at multiple locations in Philadelphia, working 30-40 hours per week with the potential for schedule flexibility.
Your Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain product representative contact lists.
Serve as day-to-day contact with reps including scheduling material updates, product update meetings, and design industry events.
Maintain product resource library including handling of samples shipments to library; product displays; and sample returns, refiles, and recycling.
Be the expert on location of all products in library to assist designers and architects.
Meet with reps on new products and product updates and disseminate information to designers including a monthly update newsletter.
Coordinate and schedule educational events including CEUs, Lunch-And-Learns, and product tradeshows across disciplines and market sectors.
Train and mentor interior design interns (on a six-month rotation) to assist with library management.
Educate new hires on library layout and protocols.
Develop and manage project layout protocols, assignment of layout space, and maintenance of project cubbies.
Assist with archiving and cleanup of completed projects.
Qualifications
Your Capabilities and Credentials
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work independently but within a team environment, multi-task, and adapt to change in a very dynamic environment.
Possess a “can do” and “will do” attitude while taking charge of any assignment given.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Ability to be active and on feet part of day.
Must be able to lift samples and equipment that weighs up to approximately 35 lbs.
Education and Experience
Interior Design degree preferred but not required.
Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a relevant field including interior design, architecture, design/graphics, or construction services.
Knowledge of sustainable products and/or experience in furniture and finish product selection preferred.
Experience with construction administration support a plus.
Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include using a ladder, working with measuring tools and exposure to the elements while working outside.
