Job Description

　　This Position is located in Methuen, MA.

　　The Department of Developmental Services (DDS) would like to announce the availability of a full-time Residential Supervisor I position working in the Northeast Region for Northeast Residential Services. This position is responsible for the overall day to day management of the group home including supervision of all staff and individuals as assigned.

　　Duties and Responsibilities (these duties are a general summary and not all inclusive):

　　Will coordinate, implement, and supervise the administrative and clinical operations of the home, including residential program development. Provide staff training and assess individuals' needs, abilities, and resources to develop therapeutic programs in community living skills, participate in the interdisciplinary team, coordinate and participate in Individual Service Plan implementation.

　　Maintain a clean, safe and healthy environment Ensure the provision of appropriate individuals' services as indicated in Individual Service PlansImplement and/or ensure compliance of policies, regulations, and procedures. Promote principles of normalization and dignity and provide for the welfare of individuals by making personnel recommendations for hiring and promoting staff. Supervise and evaluate support staff and maintain adequate staffing patterns. Develop, implement, and maintain data collection and records. Monitor and evaluate the physical operation and maintenance of the residence and monitor residential budgets, maintain individuals' funds; assist individuals with expenditures and money management. Act as a liaison to adjunct personnel, ensures effective communication between staff and performs related work as required.

　　Full-Time --40 hours per week

　　Tuesday - 7am-3:30pm

　　Wednesday - 9am-5:30pm

　　Thursday - 11am-7:30pm

　　Friday -3pm-11:30pm

　　Saturday -9am-5:30pm

　　This position is designated as an "EMERGENCY" Position in the Department of Developmental Service's Emergency Plan. This means that whenever the Governor declares that the Commonwealth is in a state of emergency, you will be required to report to work.

　　All State employees are paid bi-weekly through Direct Deposit. Listed salary ranges are for one full year at current contracted rates.

　　Qualifications

　　First consideration will be given to those applicants that apply within the first 14 days.

　　MINIMUM ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS:

　　At least (A) three (3) years of full-time, or equivalent part-time, experience in counseling, guidance, teaching, or therapeutic services for individuals with developmental disabilities and/or chronic mental illness, of which at least (B) one (1) year must have been in either a supervisory or leadership capacity, or (C) any equivalent combination of the required experience and substitutions.

　　SUBSTITUTIONS:

　　- A Bachelor's degree in social work, rehabilitation, psychology, sociology, human services, education of people with physical and/or learning disabilities may be substituted for two (2) years of the required (A) experience.

　　- A Master's or higher degree social work, rehabilitation, psychology, sociology, human services or education of people with physical and/or learning disabilities may be substituted for the required (A) experience.

　　Incumbents are required to have a current and valid motor vehicle driver's license at a class level specific to the assignment.
