IEH Laboratories, a Leader in Food Safety, is now accepting applications for the Research Scientist - Microbiology position at its facility in Seattle, WA. Applicants must possess a Master or PhD degree in Food Microbiology or Food Science. The candidate should be highly motivated and proactive and have a strong passion for food microbiology and food science and be willing to do their best to help our clients on their requested projects.This is a full-time position and is eligible for standard benefits after a brief waiting period. The pay range for this position is $75,000.00 - $95,000 annually. Full-time employees are eligible for the following benefits after a brief waiting period: medical, dental, vision, life/AD&D insurance, long- and short-term disability insurance, 401(k), health and dependent care FSA plans, employee assistance program, 15 days of paid time off per year for sick leave and/or vacation, 3 days paid bereavement leave, and 6 paid holidays per year.This position is in the IEH Special Projects team which performs a variety of projects in food science, food microbiology, and other areas of biology in a timely manner. Hence, occasional work on weekends, extended hours and or presence in the lab outside of the normal schedule are sometimes needed.
