Our team explores, develops, and delivers new cutting-edge technologies that serve as the foundation of current and future Meta products. From indoor/outdoor location positioning using a variety of sensors for dead reckoning, inertial and visual sensor fusion, motion tracking and understanding, our team is focused on taking new technologies from early concept to the product level while iterating, prototyping, and realizing the human value and new experiences they open up.Our internships are twelve (12) to twenty-four (24) weeks long and we have various start dates throughout the year.

Currently in the process of obtaining a PhD degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Electrical and Computer Engineering in the field of computer vision, machine learning, computer graphics, Intelligent Transportation Systems, robotics or a relevant discipline.
3+ years experience with Python and/or C++
2+ years experience with modern deep learning frameworks like PyTorch
Excellent interpersonal skills, cross-group and cross-culture collaboration
Ability to communicate complex research in a clear, precise, and actionable manner.
Must obtain work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment

Proven track record of achieving significant results as demonstrated by publications in top computer vision conferences (e.g., CVPR, ICCV, ECCV ,ICRA, IROS or, SIGGRAPH) or journals (e.g., IEEE Transactions on Pattern Analysis and Machine Intelligence, International Journal of Computer Vision, Pattern Recognition, or IEEE Transactions on Image Processing).
Demonstrated software engineering experience via an internship, work experience, coding competitions, open source contributions, or research
Intent to return to a degree-program after the completion of the internship/co-op.
Knowledge in handling any of the following Sensors: IMU, magnetometer, WiFi, Camera and GNSS
Knowledge in Sensor Data Fusion with one or more of these techniques: Kalman filter and State Estimation Techniques, Neural Inertial Fusion, Multi-rate Data Fusion, Dead Reckoning and Signal Conditioning
Knowledge in Classical Computer Vision and Machine Learning, in one or more of the following domains: Scene Understanding, Scene Segmentation and Matching Algorithms
Understanding of on-device challenges and requirements such as memory constraints, power constraints and real-time inference
