Summary:
Meta Reality Labs (RL) is the world leader in the design of virtual and augmented reality systems. The RL Silicon Research Team is looking for exceptional interns to help us create the next-generation experiences in virtual and augmented reality. Our Silicon research and development focuses on exploring new circuit design techniques, architectures and technologies for future AR products. We are looking for students interested in optimizing integrated circuits and systems, including novel implementation, and/or new emerging technologies. The ideal candidate will understand the full stack from architecture down to hardware and technology.Our internships are twelve (12) to twenty-four (24) weeks long and we have various start dates throughout the year.

Research Intern, Circuit-Architecture Co-design (PhD) Responsibilities:
Own a research project related to low power integrated circuit and system.
Work with Silicon research teams to develop new architectures, run internal workloads and research new design techniques.
Evaluate, prototype and estimate performances benefits of proposed techniques.
Collaborate with and support other researchers across various disciplines.
Work with cross-functional teams to enable new user experiences in AR/VR via innovative system-level experiments.
Contribute to execution of our silicon technology / compute roadmap to make advances in performance, power consumption and form factor.
Communication of research agenda, progress and results, both internally and externally.
Minimum Qualifications:

Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a PhD degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field.
1+ years experience in SoC low-power design and architecture methodologies.
1+ years experience in circuit design and low power techniques using conventional EDA tools.
Interpersonal skills: cross-group and cross-culture collaboration.
Must obtain work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment.

Proven track record of achieving significant results as demonstrated by grants, fellowships, patents, as well as first-authored publications at leading workshops or conferences such as ISSCC, VLSI Symposium, ESSCIRC or similar.
Engineering experience via internships, work experience, coding competitions, chip tape outs.
Public Compensation:
$7,313/month to $11,333/month + benefits
