About the Role
The Research & Insights Manager, US & Canada, will lead primary research to advise Uber's product development, policy, and marketing strategy as it relates to Uber's US & Canada presence, focused on the Mobility line of business.
This role will need to understand the needs of the business, executive leaders, and cross-functional team members to craft, implement, and deliver high-impact primary research, both quantitative and qualitative. This person will also act as the voice of the consumer in synthesizing this research with other data sources to influence insight-driven decisions.
What You'll Do
Lead and execute market research for the US & Canada business across key consumer audiences, collaborating with a diverse set of cross-functional teams.Collaborate with the research & insights team, as well as with UX research, data science, and policy research teams to conduct research studies and connect insights across the organization.Lead all aspects of vendor management to conduct both qualitative and quantitative primary research studies as well explore secondary data sources as needed.Deliver insights and influence leadership to drive deeper understanding of key audiences and integration into strategy.Work closely with other researchers on the team to develop and scale more efficient and effective ways of conducting research.
Basic Qualifications
8+ years of work experience in consumer-focused market research, marketing, or consulting.Bachelor's or Master's degree in market research, statistics, economics or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience using Qualtrics, SQL, R or SPSS.Proficiency in moderating 1:1 interviews and focus groups.Hands-on experience at a research supplier - writing questionnaires and discussion guides, fielding research, etc.Experience with market research in multiple countries/regions.Excellent critical thinking, project management, and interpersonal skills.Passion for using insights from multiple sources to guide strategy.Ability to work in a quick-moving environment and prioritize among projects while maintaining attention to detail.Intellectually curious and inquisitive with a genuine passion for problem solving and ability to think quickly on one's feet to ensure success of research projects in a changing environment.Comfortable interacting with a large and diverse set of leaders, team members, and vendors.
For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$148,000 per year - USD$164,000 per year.
For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$148,000 per year - USD$164,000 per year.
