Job Description

　　Insight Global's utility client is looking for a Remote Substation Physical Engineer to sit in one of the following states: TN, GA, MS, KY, OH, LA, NC, SC, PA, MI, WI, IL, IN, or TX, and is willing to travel to Knoxville, TN once per month. The engineer will create detailed physical substation packages for various projects. This will include grounding layouts, control house layouts, conduit/cable schedules, general arrangements, grounding calculations, etc. They will oversee multiple project designs at once, that are at different levels of completion, so they need to have experience balancing multiple project designs/at once. They will meet with clients to discuss schedules, budgets, scopes, etc. They will utilize AutoCAD and/or MicroStation for design deliverables. The types of projects will include greenfields, brownfields, retrofits, upgrades, etc. for all major projects.

　　Skills and Requirements

　　7+ years of experience in Physical Substation Design/Engineering equipment layouts, control house layouts, grounding analysis/design, etc.

　　 - B.S. in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering (A.A.S is accepted if they have 10+ years of experience)

　　 - Experience doing detailed QA on physical substation design packages. - Experience designing for high voltage substations (69kV+). null
