About Remote Avaya Project Manager

  Job Description

  On behalf of our enterprise telecom customer, we are seeking a Remote Avaya Project Manager to thrive in a very hectic, fast paced environment for managing all facets of a large and complex project to migrate 87-site premise-based Avaya Aura platform to an Avaya FedRAMP hosted solution using SIP and VoIP. Other job responsibilities include: Order installation through turn-up for the end clients; Experience with Telecom, Voice and Data porting services; Intake orders from the customer, interface with the customer on weekly meetings as face client for Avaya services; Partner with Sales and Solutions Organizations;; Host the meetings, track thousands of items for order Voice and Data services; Understand how those orders move through a system, understand milestones; Know when to track or escalate if something's wrong or product will not be on time; 3 to 1 ration of Voice to Data products - EIS project, clearance required but it is not required prior to starting in the role. In this role, you will drive and manage the initial nine (9) month transition phase with the end client - EPA and then ongoing operational management. You will oversee three transition managers to complete the transition of 87 sites to an Avaya hosted solution before pivoting to a Day 2 service delivery role.

  Additional Responsibilities:

  Create and manage comprehensive master project plan from scratch in collaboration with Avaya and customer for all facets of the program.

  Translate customer requirements into formal transition plans that culminate in customer acceptance of results while meeting business objectives.

  Understand pre-negotiated customer agreements and requirements, defines, creates and performs execution plans and operational processes.

  Interface with customer executives to develop and execute an overall program transition and customized operational model that supports the agency's vision.

  Subsequently leads a team of internal and partner resources in initiating, planning, controlling, executing, and closing tasks to produce the delivered solution.

  Executes a wide range of process activities beginning with the initial technical response to an order through development, test and final delivery.

  Formulate partnerships between customer, suppliers, and staff. Anticipates potential project related problems.

  Use refined techniques for identifying, eliminating, or mitigating solution, project, and business risks.

  Understand Avaya and VoIP technologies and apply this understanding to meet project objectives.

  As appropriate, challenges the validity of given procedures and processes to enhance or improve them.

  Analyze information and situations and implements actions, independently or through the management team, to ensure project objectives are met. \

  Analyze new and complex project related problems and creates innovative solutions involving finance, scheduling, technology, methodology, tools, and solution components.

  Manages third party vendors as necessary to deliver an end-to-end solution.

  Skills and Requirements

  Proficient in MS Project and Excel

  Create project plans and communicate with senior customer personnel

  Avaya experience:

    Architecting and leading transitions and operations of voice over IP communications platforms based on Avaya technology.

    Previous Avaya experience in Senior PM or Program Manager capacity

    Ability to lead 3 Transition PM's for the initial 9 month engagement

  Six to nine years of intensive and progressive experience in the last nine calendar years demonstrating proficiency in leading project teams, project management. Advanced training on Avaya IP Telephony, PMP Certification null
