Leidos has a career opportunity for a Release Train Engineer with Configuration Management support on a new, large, multi-year contract for systems engineering, integration, software and mobile development, testing, configuration management and training to develop, modernize.
In this role you will be responsible for coaching the teams through the development process along with configuration management (CM)
Develops technical solutions to complex problems. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments as they lead the software development to production effort by conveying the vision to multiple scrum delivery teams, outlining and prioritizing work based on customer requirements and business value.
Through Program Increment (PI) planning and routine interaction with stakeholders ensuring their interests are included in the release, and the team to ensure the release is developed by the deadline and within budget.
Responsible for the business aspects of the project, including ensuring the right product is being built, in the right order, within budget and by the deadline.
Working with the Solution Architect, the RTE serves as the scrum delivery teams’ primary contact for information, work prioritization, and decision-making.
Coordinate and monitor the Scrum process from initiation through delivery.
Serve as liaisons between the program and customer, the product owner, development teams, and management in order to ensure that all targets and requirements are met.
Ensure that team members understand project objectives.
Maintain product backlog and release plan and facilitate productivity by setting up meetings and removing impediments that may obstruct the pursuit of the team's sprint goals.
Preserve flexibility and ability to rapidly respond to changes.
Manage the baseline configuration for all-project related work for project oversight as well as office-level oversight and control.
Works with the InfoSec Lead with monitoring security posture of the network, report suspected violations to designated authority.
Support the change process and implementation status for upgrades
Manage the configuration of software executables to environments (development, test, staging and production)
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree (engineering, computer science, information technology, or related) and 5+ years’ experience; OR Master's degree (engineering, computer science, information technology, or related) and 3+ years’ experience. Additional relevant years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree
This position requires the candidate possess an active Top Secret with poly. The candidate must maintain the clearance.
Total relevant work experience: 5+ years with five years as a product owner or equivalent and 2+ years in software development.
Previous experience with tools related to or encompassing a Configuration Management Database (CMDB)
Integrated Roadmap creation and maintenance
Metric identification, creation and tracking
Strong written and verbal communication skills with all levels of executives
Experience working with senior management
Outstanding collaboration skills, prior experience working in a matrix and geographically distributed organization
Highly organized and execution focused, accountable and driven
Jira and Confluence experience
Desired Qualifications:
In-depth knowledge of customer’s lifecycles, standards, and supporting processes and practices
Ability to understand technical legacy systems and associated component functionalities
Experience with enterprise architecture, application planning, and deployment

Pay Range:
Pay Range $122,200.00 - $220,900.00
