Role Purpose
The purpose of the role is to plan, schedule and control thedeployment of releases to test and analyze the impact of changes/ bugsto ensure production readiness before they are executed across theproduction environment by follow the standards for release managementrelevant to a platform/ technology.

Release Management Change management Identify change incidents (new enhancements/ production bugs orfixes) and record all artefacts for the requestCoordinate with the change management board for approval of anysignificant/ major change request Updation of records and Set up release calendar with well-definedmilestones to be achieved for all the releases
Release planning to deployment across a platform Drive process integration of release management with change andconfiguration management through ITIL or through business qualitydemands for individual servicesManage and coordinate monthly & quarterly release plans based onscope of enhancements Define roadmap based on used cases and oversee all builds anddeployment of releases to production and non-production environments Coordinate with Application team, Delivery team and PMO's anddefine scope of enhancement across the portfolioCreate release management support roadmap (planning à buildà deployment à early life support àclosure) andcall out dependencies both upstream and downstream defining high levelexecution planAlign all the key stakeholders with the change request and timelyinform them wrt to the change requests (ex downtime etc) Research and maintain new user stories and technologies and analyzetheir application and relevance for release and deploymentManage risks, resolve issues that affect release scope, quality andschedule and control one to multiple changes in a release unit Collaborate with delivery team in development, testing and pre-product for all the releases before productionCoordinate change requests backlogs pending requests and conductreviewsMaintains a release repository and manages key information such asbuild and release procedures, dependencies and notification lists Ensure green zone time for code implementation/deployment afterthorough testing and analysis by the development & testing teamPeriodic reporting to senior management after every release aboutall implemented changes providing details on those successfullyimplemented, rolled back or cancelled changes
