About the role
As Cochlear continues to grow and service our customers, we are recruitingfor a Refund & Credit Balance Specialist in Lone Tree, CO. This roleoffers a hybrid work environment with a combination of in-office and remotework from home.
In alignment with our organizational principle of providing a safe workenvironment, employees of Cochlear are required to be fully vaccinatedagainst COVID-19. To be successful in this role, you'll be able to accurately andefficiently resolve self-pay and insurance credit card balances. You willresearch credit balances in BrightTree and Oracle to determine whetheroverpayment occurred and initiate the refund process accordingly, outliningthe reason for the refund while including explanation of benefits and invoicecorrespondence. This role will handle payer refund requests includingvalidating the refund following review of the account history and submissionof a refund request. You'll work collaboratively with Reimbursement teammembers to research accounts and validate self-pay and insurance refunds.

Minimum:
3-4+ years of experience in healthcare reimbursementStrong analytical skills and ability to research and resolve issuesMust be able to work independently, prioritize, and have excellentcustomer service skills as well as verbal and written communication skillsStrong organizational skills, detail-oriented with a track record for beingable to multi-taskAssist internal customers in a professional and diplomatic mannerAbility to learn at a fast pace in a dynamic environmentProcess a high volume of work with a strong work-ethicProven ability to work cross-functionally with internal business partnersAdvanced knowledge of Microsoft Office
Ideal:
Experience in Refund analysis & Cash postingDurable Medical Equipment (DME) experience highly desired
