Who you will work with: Xcenda's Reimbursement Policy Insights team plays an integral role in helping our pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients:
Analyze health policy changes and market trends in drug coverage and reimbursementAnticipate challenges for patients and healthcare professionals trying to access therapy and recommend appropriate solutionsCraft commercialization strategies that maximize patient access at every stage of the product life cycle
WHAT YOU'LL LEARN
On a day-to-day basis, the Reimbursement & Policy Insights intern may:
Synthesize complex information to help clients understand the impact of reimbursement and health policy developments through detailed research, data analysis, and market assessmentResearch possible reimbursement and payer policy coverage scenarios for a life-saving chemotherapy agent in phase 3 clinical studiesProvide research support and advisory services to clients, including legislative and regulatory analysis and modelingDraft recommendations to maximize coverage and reimbursement for a new cell and gene therapyAssist with market research interviews with administrators from physician practices or hospital pharmacy directorsCollaborate on a cross-functional team that may include a certified professional coder, economic modeler, market researcher, reimbursement field team specialist, graphic designer, trainer, managed market consultant, or health policy analystWork on deliverables that could include, for example:
A proposal for new business
A slide deck to train a field sales force on product access challenges and solutions
A coding and billing guide to educate prescribers on key considerations for obtaining product reimbursement
A white paper or brief intended to inform policymakers and patient advocacy organizations about disparities that disproportionally impact uninsured populations and make it more difficult for them to adhere to prescribed treatments
In addition, the summer intern will participate in at least one internal project with the objective of enhancing Xcenda's current methodologies and/or execution.
What your background should look like
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Be a full-time student or recent graduate from an accredited higher education program (master's degree or higher preferred) in a related field (health or public policy, business or healthcare administration, public health, healthcare data analytics, marketing, or other coursework commiserate with healthcare consulting and marketing)Preferred cumulative GPA: 3.0 or higher

This Salary Range reflects a National Average for this job. The actual range may vary based on your locale. Ranges in Colorado/California/Washington/New York State-specific locations may be up to 10% lower than the minimum salary range, and 12% higher than the maximum salary range.
